Some days ago the 2008 Google Summer of Code final examinations took place and you might ask how did the Liferea application work out. Well Arnold Noronha reached all goals we defined back in May/June and we now have full Google Reader synchronisation for the 1.5.x branch!
So thanks to Google for sponsering the student and thanks to Arnold for completing everything planned!

Congratulations all
Please make a binary build for testing! It's so not trivial to build Liferea...
@hex: Sorry there won't be any upstream binary builds. If you need help building releases or from SVN please post a message in the mailing list.
I just downloaded liferea 1.5.5 from sourceforge and saw no Google-Reader support, does that mean that I have to compile from SVN to get google reader support?
Thanks,
Nushio
@nushio: No, with 1.5.5 you already have everything you need. Simply right click somewhere in the feed list and select "New/New Source". In the presented dialog select "Google Reader" and enter your account infos. This should add a subscription subtree representing your Google Reader account.
It's done ? I'm comming back to Liferea ;)
